Long Feng Xia, also known as "Dragon Phoenix Gorge," is a specific area within this region. Both Long Feng Xia and other parts of Shan Lin Xi are celebrated for producing high-quality oolong teas due to their high elevation, cool climate, and ideal growing conditions. The teas from these areas often share similar characteristics but can also have unique nuances based on their specific microclimates and terroirs.
Grown in the premium tea-producing area of the Xeitou Region, Long Feng Xia Oolong is cultivated at an elevation of 1800 – 2000 meters. This altitude, combined with frequent fog and cooler temperatures, provides the ideal conditions for the tea plants to thrive.
